Fencing Panels

We manufacture a good selection of our own fencing panels on site. These are often held in stock in 6’ wide sizes but can also be made up to measure to individual customer specifications. All panels are pressure treated.

Waney Lap

Waney Lap fence panelsThis is perhaps the most popular panel and can be made in any size up to 6’ square. It is made with horizontal boards which are overlapped and held in place with vertical battens. The panels are topped with a bevelled cap. They can also be arched if required, using a laminated batten. We use a thicker board than many other stockists and this fact, together with the fact that the boards are pressure treated, ensures that they are a heavy duty panel.

Feather Edge

Feather edge fence panelThis panel is made using rough sawn vertical feather edge boards which are placed onto horizontal backing rails (therefore giving a distinct front and back to the panel). It provides a strong panel which can have the top either arched up or dipped down (the overall height of the arch/dip is usually 6” but can once again be altered to suit your individual requirements). The panel can also be double sided if required to provide a front side finish to both sides of the fence.

Palisade

palisade fence panelThis panel is made using rough sawn vertical Yorkshire boards (4” wide by 5/8” thick – 100mm x 16mm) which are placed onto horizontal backing rails (therefore giving a distinct front and back to the panel).

Arched Palisade panelIt provides a strong panel which can have the top either arched up (see picture, right) or dipped down (the overall height of the arch/dip is usually 6” but can once again be altered to suit your individual requirements).

Another option with this style of panel is to have the individual pales either rounded (see picture, top left) or pointed.
