FAQ’s for log sales online:

How much is in a bulk bag?

Our bulk bags are 85cm wide x 85cm deep x 85cm high. This contains approximately 0.8 of a loose cubic metre of logs.

How much do I need to order to fill my log store?

This depends on the size of your log store but we would advise starting with a bulk bag and seeing how much space is left.

Can I order more than one bulk bag at a time?

Yes. We can deliver 2 bulk bags of logs on the same delivery.

What is the size of the logs?

The majority of our logs are usually between 7” – 10”.

How big are the net bags of logs?

The net bags are approximately 50cm high x 25cm wide x 20cm deep.

What size loads can I order?

We offer the following load sizes online – net bags, bulk bags and one loose cubic metre loads.

Why are logs more expensive now?

Raw timber prices have risen in the past few years. This is due to several factors including the war in Ukraine, shipping costs and the pandemic. Processing prices have also risen due to electricity price rises. Wages have also gone up.

How long do logs burn for?

This depends on several factors – your fire, your chimney and your operation of it. The hotter your fire burns, the faster your log will burn. Shutting the stove down and reducing the airflow will lower the temperature and will also mean the log burns for longer. We would suggest speaking to your stove supplier or your chimney sweep for guidance on how to get the most out of your fire.

Are your logs Ready to Burn certified?

Yes, we are proud to be members of the Ready to Burn scheme. This is a scheme that ensures timber suppliers are operating in a safe and sustainable way and are providing logs for sale that do less damage to the environment and are better for the customer’s health and home.

What type of wood are your logs?

Our logs are mixed hardwood species.

Does the price include vat?

Yes.

How much does a bulk bag weigh?

We do not sell our logs by weight and neither will any other reputable supplier. This is for the simple reason that wet logs weigh more than dry logs and are worse to burn and also worse for the environment. We would never suggest you buy logs by weight.

Do you offer a loyalty scheme or a discount?

Not at the moment. We work hard to ensure that our logs provide real value for money and do not add money on to then take off in ‘special offers’.
