We are pleased to announce that real Christmas trees for sale in Clitheroe are now available to pre-order through our website, with deliveries starting on Monday 23rd November. Alongside our fencing and timber supplies in Clitheroe, our yard in Chatburn is once again stocked with fresh cut trees for the festive season, and for the first time you can secure yours online and have it brought to your door anywhere in the BB postcode area.

How Pre-Ordering Your Christmas Tree Works

Ordering is simple. Head to our real Christmas trees page, choose the height you want and complete your order at the checkout. Online orders are taken now and delivered from Monday 23rd November onwards, so you can tick the tree off your list early and know it is sorted before December gets busy.

Because our trees go out on the same grouped delivery rounds as our fencing, timber and logs, we are not able to offer a specific delivery day or time slot. What you can do is use the notes box at the checkout to tell us where to leave your tree, whether that is by the back gate, in the porch or round the side of the house. That small detail makes a real difference on a December morning when nobody is home.

Online Christmas tree orders are for delivery only. If you would rather collect, the best option is to visit our yard on Clitheroe Road in Chatburn and pick out your own tree in person. That way you can walk round the trees, look at the shape and fullness of each one and take home the exact tree you have chosen.

Christmas Tree Sizes and Prices

Our trees are priced by height only, which keeps things straightforward. A 5 to 6ft tree is £50, a 6 to 7ft tree is £60 and a 7 to 8ft tree is £70. Heights are measured from the base of the trunk and are approximate, as you would expect with a natural product grown outdoors rather than manufactured to a set size.

Choosing the Right Height for Your Room

Before you order, it is worth getting a tape measure out. Most modern homes around Clitheroe, Whalley and the wider Ribble Valley have ceilings of roughly 2.4 metres, which is just under 8ft. Once you allow for the log base the tree stands on and a star or angel on top, a 6 to 7ft tree is usually the comfortable choice for a typical living room. It fills the corner nicely without the top branches bending against the ceiling.

Older stone cottages and terraced houses in the area can have lower ceilings, and a 5 to 6ft tree often suits those rooms better, especially where the tree is going near a window or in a tighter alcove. If you are lucky enough to have a high-ceilinged hallway, a barn conversion or a large open-plan living space, the 7 to 8ft tree makes a real centrepiece. Remember to think about width as well as height. A taller tree is also a wider one at the base, so measure the floor space you have free, not just the distance to the ceiling.

Every Tree Is Different

Christmas trees are natural products and no two are exactly alike. Shape, size, colour, density and branch structure vary from tree to tree, and the photos on our website are for illustration only. When you order online, your tree is selected for you from the size you have chosen, so it cannot be individually picked. If you have a particular shape in mind, such as a slim tree for a narrow space or an especially full one for a bay window, we recommend visiting the yard and choosing your tree on site.

What Arrives With Your Tree

Every tree is supplied with its branches gathered in protective netting, which makes it far easier to carry through the house without catching door frames or shedding needles on the way in. Each one also comes fitted with a log base for convenience, so it is ready to stand up as soon as it arrives. Once the tree is in position, simply cut the netting away carefully and give the branches time to drop and settle into shape, ideally overnight.

A care leaflet is delivered with every tree. Our trees are cut fresh, but how well a tree holds its needles depends on how it is looked after once it leaves the yard, so please follow the leaflet closely. As a general rule, keep your tree away from direct heat sources such as radiators, open fires and log burners, which dry out the needles quickly. Please note that Christmas trees are non-returnable, and we cannot guarantee needle retention or longevity once the tree has left our care.

Why Order Early This Year

The last weeks before Christmas are always the busiest on the roads around Clitheroe and the surrounding villages, and most families have enough to organise without trying to fit a tree into the boot of the car. Pre-ordering means your tree is reserved at a fixed price, your delivery is booked into our rounds and you have one less job to think about. Online orders stay open while stock lasts, and once a size has sold out it will be marked as out of stock on the website, so the earlier you order, the more likely you are to get the height you want.

Getting Ready for Christmas at Home

If you are planning cosy evenings in front of the fire over the holidays, it is a good time to make sure your log store is full as well. Our kiln dried logs delivered are Ready to Burn certified, and they travel on the same local delivery rounds across the BB postcode area. Just remember that tree and fire should be kept well apart once both are in the same room.
